KRATZER IM PARKETT ENTFERNEN – SO FUNKTIONIERT ES! - Blufixx

Remove scratches from parquet – simply with BLUFIXX!

Scratches in parquet flooring are often a major annoyance in many households. The parquet can be damaged by things falling down, furniture moving around or stones under shoes. Nicks, scratches or dents can appear in the parquet. Not only do they affect the appearance of the floor, but they can also shorten its lifespan.

Fortunately, BLUFIXX SMART REPAIR for laminate, parquet and vinyl offers a simple and effective solution to remove these scratches.

About parquet

Natural wood floors such as parquet are still very popular. This is because the floor covering is very robust, durable and warm to the feet. It is also noise-insulating, hygienic and easy to maintain.

Climate regulation is also a particular advantage. This is because wood is a natural product that absorbs moisture from its surroundings and releases it back into the environment.

Another plus point is that it is easy to repair. With multi-layer parquet, it is very easy to reseal and sand scratches or other surface damage. This makes the parquet look like new.

Causes and types of parquet damage

Scratches in parquet flooring can be caused by various factors. These include moving furniture, pet claws or even high-heeled shoes. They range from superficial scratches to deeper cracks.

Types of parquet damage:

  • Superficial scratches
  • Deep cracks
  • Signs of wear and tear
Expert tip:

Use felt glides under your furniture to avoid deep scratches in the parquet.

The importance of parquet maintenance

Untreated scratches in the parquet not only affect the appearance of your floor and the value of your property, but can also lead to further damage. For example, if water penetrates open areas in the parquet, this can have serious consequences. This is because water causes the wood to swell. Timely repair is therefore highly advisable.

Note:

Both superficial scratches and deeper scratches can be treated well. Check regularly for damaged areas in the parquet. This is the only way to preserve the appearance and lifespan of your parquet.

Step-by-step instructions for parquet repair with BLUFIXX SMART REPAIR

Repairing parquet scratches with BLUFIXX SMART REPAIR is child’s play. BLUFIXX can be used by non-professionals in just a few steps, even on sealed floors.

This is how it works:

Step 1: Preparation of sealed and oiled parquet

  • Clean the affected area of the sealed parquet / oiled parquet thoroughly with a clean cloth.
  • Remove loose dirt, dust and any excess wax or oil.

Step 2: Application of the BLUFIXX set

  • Apply the BLUFIXX gel from the pen to the scratch, filling the cracks.
  • Be sure to work layer by layer. Each layer should be a maximum of 2 mm thick.
  • After each layer, use the enclosed LED light to cure the gel.

Tips for optimum results:

  • Work in a well ventilated area.
  • Start with the lightest scratch and apply the gel in thin layers.
  • For an even result, sand the repaired area of the parquet after curing.
  • You can then carefully treat the filled scratch with oil or vegetable wax. Remember to remove any excess oil or vegetable wax to prevent slipping.
Note:

Do not use furniture polishes that contain silicone or mineral oil derivatives. This can damage the parquet. Olive oil should also only be used if the scratch is not very deep. If the scratches are too deep, olive oil can penetrate the wood fibers and darken them.
